Solidarity in Action Campaign

Today we launch our “Solidarity in Action” campaign, and we need the help of our international community to raise support for CfP’s work on the ground. Violence and injustices against Palestinians in the West Bank have surged since October 7th. CfP is working to nonviolently confront the occupation that is threatening the peace process and prospects for Palestinian self-determination. We understand that our destinies are intertwined and that no one will be safe and free until everyone is safe and free.

As one of the only bi-national Palestinian-Israeli movements, Combatants for Peace (CfP) is working day and night to confront this oppression and advance a just peace. We need help from our international community to stand against the occupation, settlement expansion, systemic violence, and to support Palestinians in remaining steadfast on their lands. Our destinies are intertwined—no one will be safe and free until we all are safe and free. Please join us in our fight for collective liberation through “Solidarity in Action”, an urgent campaign to support our nonviolent work on the ground. Every dollar counts! Help us raise $75,000 by September 22 to empower these three initiatives:

1. Nonviolently Resisting Settler Land Theft

In early August, Israel approved a new illegal settlement on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Battir, near Bethlehem–one of the last green spaces accessible to Palestinians. Settler expansion in the West Bank has rapidly increased under Netanyahu’s government, undermining the peace process and the prospect of Palestinian self-determination. In response, CfP is working around the land of Battir to stop the settlement expansion.

To raise public awareness, nonviolently confront the occupation, and demonstrate solidarity with Palestinians in the West Bank, CFP will soon organize a Palestinian-Israeli Freedom March led by women. This march will mobilize Palestinian and Israeli activists, partner orgs, diplomats, journalists, and international allies to advocate for an end to settler violence, the occupation, and war while calling for freedom, dignity, and justice for all. American Friends of Combatants for Peace (AFCFP) is supporting through advocacy with White House and State Department officials and is partnering with US journalists to raise awareness and apply public pressure from abroad.

These acts are only the start of many efforts required to resist settler expansion and systemic injustice. Your support is crucial to cover activists’ needs, like transportation, signs and props, emergency medical supplies, legal support, water, and more. Donate today to stop settler expansion and ensure Palestinian families can persist on their lands.

2. Justice for Shepherds in the Jordan Valley

Palestinian shepherds in the Jordan Valley are facing escalating violence and threats to their livelihoods. Donate to our strategic response for life and justice.

Virtual Protective Presence: CfP’s Israeli activists regularly accompany Palestinian shepherds during grazing. This protective presence deters settler attacks and allows third party documentation of human rights violations. Help us provide a “virtual protective presence” for eight shepherding families, including cameras, cellular internet routers, annual web subscription, and cloud storage for surveillance. With this system, shepherds can monitor and document incidents in real time, enhancing their safety and chance for legal recourse in the face of violence. As AFCFP pressures the US to expand the Executive Order to increase sanctions on violent settlers, these videos will help identify perpetrators and deter violent actors.

This initiative will not only strengthen shepherds' ability to protect their families but will enhance education for children in their villages by providing internet access. This is especially vital when it is unsafe for the children to go to school and they are in need to attend class virtually.

Water Access:  CfP is also raising funds to build portable water pumps that will enable shepherds to access water from cisterns. In Area C of the West Bank, Palestinians face a severe water crisis due to Israeli control over water resources. Unjust restrictions on Palestinian water access result in chronic shortages, while Israeli settlements receive ample supplies. This disparity disrupts daily life and forces many Palestinians off their land, as they struggle to sustain agricultural work and basic needs. The lack of water exacerbates displacement and deepens the inequalities faced by these communities. Your support will help Jordan Valley families access this vital life source, allowing them to stay on their land and continue their agricultural work.

3. Empowering Children Living Under Occupation

CfP is committed to protecting children’s human rights and ensuring the occupation does not rob them of their childhood. Through enduring partnerships with West Bank villages, CfP builds playgrounds, provides school supplies and essential resources, and creates safe spaces for Palestinian children impacted by the occupation.

During Ramadan, CfP provided essential supplies to 68 orphaned children from Gaza who were evacuated to SOS Children’s Villages in the West Bank. In August, we distributed school bags and stationery to young students in East Bethlehem, a community facing frequent settler attacks and significant hardships. Last June, to support children’s human right to play, over 60 CfP activists built a fenced playground in Al-Ouja, a community facing ongoing demolition and settler assaults.

Your support will not only provide ongoing resources for Palestinian children–it will fortify the next generation of nonviolent activists as we grow hope that there is a partner for peace on the other side.

Donate today to help us achieve dignity, liberty, and peace for all.

Your support is vital to these efforts. Together, we will show the world that there is another way.
