Building Community
Beyond Borders
Joint Memorial Ceremony
The Joint Memorial Ceremony is the largest Israeli-Palestinian jointly organized peace event in history. The ceremony occurs annually on Yom Hazikaron and reaches an audience of approximately one million worldwide. By joining together to mourn each other's pain, CfP aims to challenge the status quo and set the foundation for a new reality based on mutual respect, dignity, and equality for all.
Joint Nakba Ceremony
The Joint Nakba Remembrance Ceremony commemorates the displacement and erasure of hundreds of Palestinian communities, which started in 1948 and continues to the present. The Ceremony expresses CfP's belief that peace and reconciliation involve a sincere and honest reckoning with the truth of history. The event seeks to help transform the trauma of the Nakba into joint action - to end the occupation and move toward liberation.
Joint Women's Group
& Regional Groups
The CP movement is dedicated to empowering female activists and leaders. The Joint Women's Group brings Palestinian and Israeli women together to build inclusive community and equip them with the necessary tools to lead their societies toward a more equitable and peaceful future. CP also organizes bi-national regional groups based in various areas of the West Bank. The reality of military occupation creates different needs, and thus each group initiates different projects. Through these groups, CfP works to strengthen the activist community, build coalitions, and promote a culture of nonviolence.
Domestic & International
Multi-Narrative Tours
AFCFP leads powerfully immersive, multi-narrative tours in Israel and Palestine. These international tours provide an inclusive history of the land and educate participants on how they can work for peace and freedom for all. AFP's domestic tours include 1) CP activists speaking at places of worship and with community groups, 2) hosting leadership assemblies in community members' homes and private venues, 3) meeting with local leaders and supporters. These tours help those in the U.S. effect change and take action to support the movement.
