Advocacy & International Awareness

Israeli soldiers detain a Palestinian activist during a nonviolent protest in the West Bank. This image highlights the challenges faced by peace activists advocating for human rights, justice, and an end to the Israeli occupation in this conflict.

Advocacy

CfP engages in political advocacy to support strategic campaigns that work for an end to the occupation. Past actions have included lobbying MK Gantz to create more equitable policies for Palestinians across the Jordan Valley and the South Hebron Hills and private meetings with past Deputy Defense Ministers. CP leadership speaks regularly at briefings in the Knesset and works with human rights attorneys to challenge unjust policies. AFCFP raises awareness in the U.S. and builds support to advance justice, equality, and peace in Israel and Palestine.

Joint Demonstrations

CfP organizes and engages in joint nonviolent protests to help direct public attention toward ongoing injustices. CfP's Israeli and Palestinian activists have jointly demonstrated against a wide range of anti-occupation issues - from ongoing settlement expansion and wars in Gaza to home demolitions and restrictions on Palestinians' movement. CP activists recently co-founded the "anti-occupation bloc" in Israel's protest movement - declaring loud and clear that there can be no democracy with occupation.

Nonviolent Strategic Action Campaigns

Some of CfP's past strategic action campaigns have included a month-long sit-in and "solidarity tent" that protected the village of Khan Al Ahmar from demolition, a water campaign that challenged unjust water policies, and a campaign fighting for Palestinians to have access to a road that was taken from them and given to Israeli settlers. CfP also uses artistic campaigns such as 'Theater of the Oppressed' performances to protest and nonviolently resist.

CFP Tours

CfP hosts foreign diplomats and leads tours for international delegations. Led by CfP's experienced Palestinian and Israeli guides, these tours provide a unique chance for ambassadors and other global leaders to see the reality of life under occupation while meeting the people and communities that CfP works within Palestine.
