Freedom March
Last week, our movement watched in devastation as the Israeli military invaded the West Bank, killing over twenty-four Palestinians, displacing thousands, and destroying vital infrastructure. This weekend, we were struck with grief by the news of six Israeli hostages murdered while in the captivity of Hamas—hostages who could have been returned to us in a ceasefire and hostage/prisoner deal in July. A deal that could have stopped the growing death toll in Gaza. A deal that has not been reached because of the selfish interests of corrupt leaders.
In the face of grief and anger, Combatants for Peace took decisive action, joining protests across Israel and organizing a women-led Freedom March in the West Bank–including over 150 Israeli and Palestinian activists and partners Women* Sit for Peace, Standing Together, Looking the Occupation in the Eye, and Voices Against War.
Below are messages from CfP leaders, Avner and Jamil:
In these times of intense violence and deep division, your support is more critical than ever. Combatants for Peace is dedicated to forging a future where all live in peace, justice, and dignity. Thank you for empowering the future we long to see.
