Education &

Empowerment

Palestinian Freedom School

During this unique 6-month program, Palestinian youth explore how the occupation has shaped their collective and individual identities, receive training on methods of nonviolent activism, and participate in joint resistance. Through the Freedom Schools, CfP is building a political, grassroots alternative.

Israeli Freedom School

This intensive, immersive learning and action program empowers young Israelis to develop the skills of social change and political awareness. Emerging leaders live together as they learn about the occupation. Upon graduating, the alumni engage in joint projects with the Palestinian Freedom School alumni.

Land Beyond the Mountains

CfP works to create societal change from within the classroom. These seminars equip teachers with the tools to effectively facilitate discussions with students about the occupation and challenge traditional narratives.

Encounter Groups

CfP reaches Israeli youth who have taken a gap year before military service. For most of the teens, this is the first time they have met a Palestinian or heard the story of an Israeli who is renouncing violence and choosing to work with the supposed "enemy" for peace. Encounter Groups help expose Israeli teens to the reality of life under occupation.

NVC & Activist Trainings

Remaining nonviolent when faced with both systemic and acute violence requires profound personal strength and training. Every month, CfP trains individuals in the art of storytelling, nonviolent communication, and civil resistance, how to use their bodies during protests to protect one another, and other creative tools that enable people to protest safely and effectively.

CollectiveED

This formal AFCFP program focuses on the human right to diverse education and provides tools for action. AFCFP offers free community events featuring diverse leaders, experts, and global innovators who are working for peace and justice.
