Rabbi Michael Lerner was mentored by Abraham Joshua Heschel at the Jewish Theological Seminary, is the Editor of Tikkun Magazine, and is Chair of the Interfaith Network of Spiritual Progressives.
Tikkun Magazine won the mainstream media Religion Newswriters Association Best Religion Reporting Award in 2014 and again in 2014. He is Rabbi of Beyt Tikkun Synagogue-Without-Walls in ] Berkeley, CA. He is the Author of 2 national best sellers: Jewish Renewal: A Path to Healing and Transformation; and The Left Hand of God: Taking Back our Country from the Religious Right. His other books include Spirit Matters; The Politics of Meaning; with Cornel West: Jews and Blacks–Let the Healing Begin; The Socialism of Fools: Anti-Semitism on the Left; Surplus Powerlessness: The Psychodynamics of Daily Life and Work; Embracing Israel/Palestine, and in 2019: Revolutionary Love: A Political Manifesto to Heal and Transform the World.
