Re-building Homes destroyed by the Occupation
Unfortunately the policy of the Israeli army to destroy the homes and schools of Palestinian families and communities is commonplace in the West Bank and East Jerusalem – it happens daily. Combatants for Peace works to combat this policy both by protecting communities (See: Susya, Khan al Ahmar and Sumud as examples), as well as by rebuilding homes, and other structures that have been destroyed. Combatants for Peace has rebuilt homes, tents and even shade structures for animals and livestock – primarily in the Jordan Valley, where the majority of the demolitions are taking place (and where the heat of the sun can be unbearable in the summer without shelter).
