Sponsorship Opportunity for Organizations
About the Ceremony
The Joint Memorial Ceremony, organized by Combatants for Peace (CfP) and The Parents Circle Families Forum, is the largest Israeli-Palestinian jointly organized peace event. The Joint Memorial Ceremony provides a unique opportunity for Israelis and Palestinians to grieve together and stand strong in demanding an end to the ongoing violence. The Ceremony takes place every year on the eve of Yom Hazikaron (Israeli Memorial Day). In Israeli mainstream culture, the ceremonies that are most often held to honor this day serve to reinforce cultural narratives of pain, victimhood, and hopelessness. Our Joint Memorial transforms this narrative by bringing Palestinians to the Memorial alongside Israelis. Joining together to mourn each other’s pain, we aim to challenge the status quo and set the foundation for a new reality based on mutual respect, dignity, and equality for all. In mourning together, we seek not to equate narratives, but rather transform despair into hope and build bridges of compassion. We remind ourselves and society that occupation, oppression, and violence are not inevitable.
This year the Joint Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on April 24, 2023. You can join the live stream from wherever you are in the world (8:30pm Jerusalem | 6:30pm London | 1:30pm New York | 10:30am Los Angeles).
Impact of the Ceremony
Last year, 300,000 people participated in the live broadcast event and over one million people streamed it afterwards. The Joint Memorial Day Ceremony has become a focal point for the peace community. Nearly every peace-building NGO in the region participates in some way, with almost a hundred and fifty organizations worldwide co-sponsoring the event. It has a profound impact on the psyche of all people involved in or witnessing the event.
We are inviting you to be pillars of this event.
We would be honored and grateful if your organization would consider becoming a Ceremony sponsor.
Promotional Sponsors:
Your institution can be a Promotional Sponsor for the Ceremony. Promotional Sponsors share the event with their networks and will be highlighted on the Ceremony’s landing page, where thousands of people will see their involvement. The most important thing for Promotional Sponsors is that they use their networks to promote the event as widely as possible. Please note that there is no fee to be a Promotional Sponsor.
Fiscal Sponsors:
We ask all Fiscal Sponsors to promote and advertise the Memorial as widely as possible through their organization’s network. Fiscal Sponsors also commit funds to support the Ceremony.
Fiscal Sponsorship has six main levels:

All Sponsors will be formally recognized and listed by name on the Ceremony’s landing page where thousands of participants will watch the event. Paying Sponsors will also be listed in the credits of the Ceremony, where hundreds of thousands of people will see your organization listed by name. Donations are tax-deductible.
If you would like your organization to be a sponsor, please click the “Become a Memorial Sponsor” button.
